“When I started as a Graduate, I never thought I’d be Plant Controller within 5 years.”
"In just 5 years, I went from Graduate to Plant Controller in the US. Kerry took me the scenic route too – through Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands and South Africa – making the journey all the more exciting."
“The Graduate Programme was my stepping stone to exciting projects in Italy, South Africa and the UK.”
"After completing the programme, I was given the job of Production Manager at the Beverage Flavours plant at Mozzo in Northern Italy. Following four years in this and various other roles, I took on a short-term assignment in Cape Town. In 2017, an exciting opportunity brought me back to Europe; this time to Hartlepool in England."
“The buzz of seeing my first product hit the shelves made the effort worthwhile.”
"There are moments in your life you’ll never forget. Seeing my first product on the shelves of a Swedish supermarket was just incredible. It was the result of so much effort and imaginative thinking from our team in Naas. It’s great to be part of that kind of success and really bringing the future of food to life."
“Embrace the Challenge”
Kerry is a fast and ever changing organisation, don’t silo yourself in your role ensure you are always learning about the whole business. On completing the graduate programme in 2011, I moved from operations finance to work on the KerryConnect Programme as the ICT Business Analyst and within 3 months I was given full responsibility for the purchasing workstream for the Ireland release. Moving to APMEA to work in Finance is the highlight of my Kerry Career, the opportunity it opened for me both professionally and personally.
“My career combines two of things I’m most passionate about – food and travel.”
"The few short years since I joined as Graduate Recruit have taken me a long, long way. In fact, all the way to Singapore! My current position is Regional Category Buyer, with responsibility for the herbs, spices, fruits & vegetables categories in Asia Pacific, the Middle East and Africa."
“By constantly adding value and focusing on what matters, it’s possible to reach the top.”
"I joined Kerry as a Graduate Accountant in 1988, spent three years in the U.S. as Plant Controller and Corporate Commercial Controller, was promoted to Finance Director for Kerry Mexico and then to Finance Director for Kerry South America…. all within 10 years! In 2003, I was appointed President of Kerry’s Latin America business and served in that role for 13 years, returning to Ireland in 2016 to take up the positions of President & CEO of Kerry’s Europe, Middle East and Africa region. Suffice to say, I’ve enjoyed the journey so far."
